Joanne has a distinct Americana feel with New England charm. She moves from country to bluegrass, folk and r&b to gospel, all with a bluesy undertone." Jennifer Evans A new independent artist, Jennifer Evans is an accomplished fingerstyle guitarist with a rich voice. She performs the honed, socially relevant compositions of her songwriter brother, Griff Evans, as well as material by other contemporary songwriters. “The Last Cheap Hotel,” her recent album, is a lovely and haunting mirror of contemporary culture. While Jennifer sings about being “Rootless,” these songs, all written by Griff Evans, are anything but. They are rooted in a grand tradition of storytelling that is too often marginalized in pop culture. Tales of love, anger, joy and frustration are told through a variety of authentic voices. Oscar Brand, New York City’s legendary radio host and musician, featured “The Last Cheap Hotel,” on his tribute show to his dear friend Pete Seeger. David Hintz of Folkworld described her CD as “a pure folk album” and writes that “Jennifer Evans is American with roots in Wales and her style balances these styles perfectly... So dig in folk fans, this is the real deal”. Beth DeSombre Beth DeSombre (pronunciation: de-SOM-bree) writes songs that are "smart and uplifting . . . focusing on the quiet meaning to be found in ordinary life" (Sing Out! Magazine), exploring issues from the personal to the political. Her music touches both mind and heart, with insights wrapped in melody and harmony that stay with you after the echoes of the last chorus have faded away.

Her 2016 CD, I Was Here, was produced by Sean Staples, and includes guest appearances by Tracy Grammer, Vance Gilbert, Laura Cortese, and other music luminaries. Her second CD, At Home in This Town, reached #22 on the folk charts. She has played primarily in New England, with brief forays further afield. Her songs have been honored in national and international songwriting contests. An award-winning writer in many formats, she's just completed her eight book, soon to be published by Oxford University Press.
