His songs tell heartfelt stories about real people, and are unfailingly optimistic and forward looking. His 2017 album "Dust Bowl - American Stories" is earning rave reviews, including one from NO DEPRESSION, the bible of American Roots music:"A heartland masterpiece .... lyrics and music as potent as Woody Guthrie ... Sent chils down my spine ... Grant is flawless ... Bound to become a classic ... Grant's ability to capture the heartland in his music is amazing ... A reminder of the darker period of Bob Dylan, and it’s that good, that memorable ... Grant Maloy Smith at his cleverest..."~John Apice, No Depression Magazine   Lindsay Newton Dodd Lindsay’s music is a blend of dreamy folk/pop with infectious melodies and heartfelt lyrics. Her songs echo inspiration from Joni Mitchell, Janis Ian, and Emmylou Harris while establishing a unique sound all her own.   Peg Espinola  Peg was playing guitar and singing folksongs at age fifteen (with fellow teenagers Peggy and Mike Seeger) but didn't start to write her own songs until her 60's.  Four years later, one of her songs placed third in the Boston Folk Festival songwriting contest (2007). Since then she has recorded four CDs, including the latest, "The Truth About Eighty." Her albums mix the personal with the topical, and reflect a wide variety of musical influences. Local open mic host Ellen Schmidt calls Peg's songs "honest, humorous, wistful, wise and hopeful." Christine Lavin says, "Peg is the real deal!"  Billy Jonas adds, "Great melodies!" Peg has appeared live on WICN and WMWM as well as on cable TV in Sudbury and Hopkinton.
